Mera peak is the most probably easy peak climbing though it has the highest altitude point among all 33 peaks belong to Nepal Mountaineering association in Nepal. We fly to Lukla and trek go a head to the Mera peak Base Camp/Khare 5000m acrossing Zatrawala pass-Tulikharka,Thangnak etc. We set up one night tented Mera peak high camp 5700m for the attacking of Mera peak summit early next morning. The first ascent of Mera was made by Jimmy Roberts and Sen Tenzing on 20 May 1953, who appeared to have climbed the central summit. The next recorded ascent was not until 1975 when French Climbers Jolly, Baus and Honills climbed the north summit. Mera is among the highest of Nepal’s official trekking Peak. This superb trek takes us right through the Khumbu region with some wonderful views of the major peaks in the area including Everest itself. Whether you want to attempt the summit or just go alone for trek, you will feel as though you have taken part in a real Himalayan expedition. The climb is not technical, but you will need good adaptation to altitude and basic knowledge of ice axe and crampon techniques. Mera Peak is located at the head of the quiet and remote Hinku valley, an area of the Mount Everest region rarely frequented by trekkers or visitors. There are many approaches to Mera; some are easy and some require the crossing of high and difficult passes.South ridge is considered un-climbable, East and north faces almost so. Northeast ridge is a difficult mixed 1600 meters climb. West face is possible, so is north-west ridge, but access to Mera West glacier (Khare glacier) is difficult; either a 500 climb up an icefall or a 1,000 meter climb over west side ramparts to the glacial basin at 5,600 meters. .
