Your schedule based on the current policy:

Step 1:
Confirm the itinerary and price quotation with us at least 10 working days before you depart from Nepal to Tibet

Step 2:
Scan your passport and send us the clear images through email isa@hons.com.np 

Step 3:
It takes 3-5 working days for us to apply for your Chinese group visa invitation and the Tibet permit. Then we will fax them to Chinese consulate in Katmandu once we get them

Step 4:
Arrive in Kathmandu from other parts of the world

Please NOTE: Please arrive in Kathmandu 2-5 days prior to the date when you are heading to Tibet, because Chinese Consulate in Kathmandu work for China visa application ONLY on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, and it takes some time to obtain your China visa in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Step 5:
In the morning of the next/third/fourth day upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our colleague in Kathmandu will lead you to the local Chinese Consulate to apply for China visa for you. The processing will last from few hours to 5 days, it depends on how emergent your application is. Cost varies from 22 USD to 126USD

Step 6:
You could board the flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa or you could head to Zhangmu which locates on the China-Nepal boarder by bus or other vehicles.

Please NOTE: Please do NOT worry about your Tibet Tourism Permit (TTB permit). We are able to obtain it for you before your leaving Kathmandu for Tibet. What is the most convenient is that our colleague in Kathmandu will hand in you both China visa and Tibet permit before you head to Tibet from Kathmandu.
